I work with children, adolescents, teens, college students, graduate students, and adults.
Let's get to know each other!
Originally from Ohio, I’ve lived across the Midwest and Carolinas before eventually settling in sunny Florida. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology in South Carolina, where I focused on research related to clinical depression and brain systems, particularly the vestibular system. I later completed my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Psychology in the Tampa Bay area.
My journey toward becoming a therapist began early in life as I witnessed loved ones navigate mental health and substance use challenges. Those experiences sparked a deep curiosity about the human mind and a desire to understand how people heal. They also taught me how powerful it can be to sit with difficult emotions, hold space for others, and support people through life’s most vulnerable moments.
A bit more about me…
Therapy with me is collaborative, flexible, and person-centered. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to walk alongside you as a supportive guide in the healing process.
Depending on your needs, sessions may incorporate:
- EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
- Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP)
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills
- Solution-focused strategies
- Creative approaches such as play therapy or art-based interventions
Every person’s story is different, so treatment is always tailored to what works best for you.
I strive to create a space where you can show up exactly as you are, whether that means being reflective, emotional, curious, lighthearted, or even a little silly. Starting therapy takes courage, and it’s a privilege for me to support people as they grow, process, and move forward.
My Fun Facts:
- I love reading, watching documentaries, practicing yoga, staying active through fitness, going to concerts, and traveling. Ireland is currently next on my bucket list.
- When I’m not in session, you can usually find me spending time with my mini goldendoodle Addy and my three cats (Milo, Ozzy, and Margo), reading psychological thrillers, cooking, or enjoying the Florida sunshine.
