Let's get to know each other!

If you choose to embark on this therapeutic journey with me, you can expect an approach that is collaborative, non-blaming, and focused on empowering you to create a path in life that more authentically aligns with your goals and values. I will tailor therapy to fit who you are, what matters to you, and how you hope to grow.

While my specialization lies in marriage and relationship counseling, I firmly believe that therapy is a valuable resource for anyone seeking personal growth and enhanced well-being. Regardless of your circumstances, I am here to support you in your unique exploration of change.

Those who have experienced my therapeutic approach often describe it as intentional, warm, and down-to-earth. In our sessions together, I will strive to help you separate yourself from your problems, discover your voice, and explore various perspectives and possibilities in your life. I often do this by integrating holistic practices such as therapeutic writing, meditation, art activities, and movement alongside pop culture references like music, books, tv shows, and movies.

I want to emphasize that therapy is a reminder that we are deserving of support and healing. It teaches us that it’s never too late to rewrite our stories and create a future filled with hope and possibility. It is not a sign of weakness but rather a courageous step towards self-care and self-improvement. It is an investment in your mental and emotional well-being. Together, we can work towards creating meaningful change in your life and relationships. I am genuinely grateful that you are considering me for this next chapter in your mental health journey.

A bit more about me…

I earned my Bachelor’s degree with a double major in Psychology and Family & Child Sciences from Florida State University. Following that, I completed my Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy, along with a certificate in Systemic Multicultural Counseling, at Appalachian State University. Most recently, I obtained my Doctor of Philosophy from Florida State University. During my clinical journey, I have gained experience in agency, school, and private practice settings, which has granted me the privilege of working with diverse populations.

My professional, academic, and life experiences have fueled my deep commitment to helping individuals navigate relationship challenges, foster personal growth, adapt to life transitions, feel more connected to themselves and others, manage familial conflicts, and change their relationship with their mental health.

I believe in my clients until they can believe in themselves, and I am ready to help you create a new narrative of your life!

My Fun Facts:

As a certified Yoga Instructor with a 200-hour training, I find immense joy in both teaching and participating in a wide range of yoga classes. This experience enhances my clinical practice by providing me with valuable tools for promoting holistic well-being and integrating mindfulness techniques into therapy sessions.

I enjoy traveling to new places. Trying different foods, experiencing other cultures, exploring new paths, and seeing amazing sights truly energizes me. Whenever the opportunity comes up, I’m eager to embark on a journey!

If there’s a nearby coffee shop, you can bet I’ve spent hours there, immersing myself in its cozy atmosphere lost in a book.

Where words fail, music speaks, especially if it’s live music!
