Stephen Rochon
Nice to meet you
Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern (RMHCI)
I’m a mental health therapist who helps individuals, couples, and families navigate the moments in life that feel heavy, stuck, or uncertain—and turn them into meaningful, lasting change.
I work in Downtown St. Petersburg
My hourly rate is: $150 for individuals and $200 for couples
Areas I specialize in:
Couples therapy & relationship repair (Gottman/Prepare and Enrich), Communication & conflict resolution, Anxiety & emotional regulation, Attachment patterns & relationship dynamics, Family systems & parenting support, Children & adolescents (behavioral challenges, emotional regulation, family conflict), Self-worth & confidence building, Life transitions & identity development
Let's get to know each other!
At some point, most people find themselves feeling stuck—replaying the same thoughts, having the same arguments, or carrying a weight they don’t quite know how to put down.
You might feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure how things got to this point. Maybe you’ve hurt someone you care about, or you’re trying to rebuild something that feels fragile. Maybe you’re doing everything you can and it still doesn’t feel like enough.
I want you to know—that place is more common than you think—-(I know from my own experience). And it’s not where your story has to stay.
I’ve seen what it looks like when people (including myself) face those moments head-on—when they take ownership, rebuild trust, and create something stronger in their lives and relationships. That process isn’t easy, but it is possible.
In our work together, you won’t just talk about what’s wrong—we’ll work toward what’s next. I’ll help you understand what’s happening beneath the surface, challenge the patterns keeping you stuck, and give you tools you can actually use outside of session.
A bit more about me…
I believe therapy works best when it feels real—when you can show up honestly, without feeling judged or analyzed from a distance.
My approach is direct, supportive, and grounded in helping you move forward—not just feel better for the moment. I use evidence-based approaches like CBT and relationship-focused work, but more importantly, I meet you where you are.
Whether I’m working with a couple trying to reconnect, a parent navigating challenges with their child, or a teenager figuring things out, my focus is the same: helping you make sense of what’s happening and take meaningful steps forward.
My Fun Facts:
- I spend a lot of my free time renovating my home—there’s something about rebuilding things that just clicks for me (probably not a coincidence given what I do for a living).
- I’m big on golf—it’s humbling, challenging, and rewarding
- The most important part of my life is my family. I deeply value my marriage—it hasn’t been perfect, and we’ve had to work through difficult moments, take accountability, and rebuild at times—but that’s what’s made it strong. We also have two boys, and I truly cherish the time I get to spend with them—laughing, playing, and being present.
- I appreciate good food and good coffee—simple things, but they go a long way
