Let's get to know each other!

I am a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. I am originally from Kentucky and obtained my MSN through the University of Kentucky as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Attended Bellarmine University and completed my bachelor’s in nursing. I am credentialed to provide psychiatric services across the lifespan beginning at age 6. Currently with 17 years of experience as a PMHNP, I have provided services to several outpatient clinics and multiple inpatient hospitals. I am currently licensed as an APRN (PMHNP) in Florida, Kentucky, West Virginia and recently have provided services in North Carolina and Ohio. My experience has been working with acute and chronic clients with mental illness, including Substance Abuse and Forensics clients.

I thoroughly enjoy working with clients that have mental illness or situational concerns. I feel that it is very important to establish a non-judgmental, honest and supportive relationship that is therapeutic for my clients. I understand that every individual is unique and has their own visions of what they want their life to become. My goal is to assist my clients and support them on their quest to meet their goals and live a sustainable and fulfilling life.

A bit more about me…

Throughout my career, I have provided psychiatric services across various settings, including outpatient clinics, inpatient hospitals, and correctional facilities. My experience spans working with patients as young as six years old to the geriatric population, managing a wide range of mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, ADHD, PTSD, OCD, panic disorders, schizophrenia, substance abuse, and forensic cases.

I have had the opportunity to serve in numerous roles across different organizations. In addition to my clinical roles, I have held leadership positions, including Assistant Director of Nursing and Nursing Supervisor, where I managed day-to-day operations and collaborated with various healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.

I am licensed to practice in Florida, Kentucky, West Virginia, North Carolina, and Ohio, and I have extensive experience in telehealth services. My approach to care is holistic, emphasizing the importance of establishing non-judgmental, supportive, and therapeutic relationships with my clients to help them achieve their personal goals and lead fulfilling lives.

My Fun Facts:

When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, traveling, cooking, and embracing the outdoors. One of my life philosophies is that “Life is what you make it,” and I strive to bring this positive outlook into my practice every day.
